OuterMark's fluorescent lantern with remote control is made of high-impact plastic, has a wide stable base and is powered by four (4) 1.5V D-Cell batteries (not supplied). The lantern is watertight and weatherproof, allowing its safe use in any condition. The lantern features a single, replaceable 9W U-shaped fluorescent tube, which can last for up to 1,000 hours. The remote control unit is powered by an Alkaline A23 12V battery (supplied), which is supplied on a key ring, with an adaptor to attach the remote to the base of the carrying handle of the lantern. This lantern is ideal for camping, fishing, boating, caravanning, driving, DIY repairs, emergencies and any other situation.

Special Considerations for Flourescent Lanterns:
  • Always allow at least 30 seconds between switching the lamp on and then off again. This will extend the life of the tube.
  • When using the remote control unit with model 40025, or the button on model 40030, press the on button quickly.
    Do not hold for more than .5 seconds.
  • Remember that the flourescent tube can take a few seconds to reach it's full brightness.
